Beaver Scouts are young people between six and eight years old. They belong to the first and youngest Section in the Scouting Family.

Easily recognised by their distinctive turquoise sweatshirts, Beaver Scouts enjoy making friends, playing games, going on visits and helping others.

As part of a balanced programme, Beaver Scouts undertake a number of challenges - The Outdoor Challenge, The Disovery Challenge, The Friendship Challenge and The Personal Challenge. Upon completion of these challenges they are awarded the Chief Scouts Bronze Award
