| The Scout Troop
caters for young people between eleven and fourteen years
of age. With over fourty Scouts in the Troop we have a very
strong and active Section. The programme is organised and
run by an experienced team of six Leaders. |
| |
| Scouts are
encouraged to take part in a wide range of activities. Participation
rather than meeting set standards is the key approach and
for the Scout who wants to be recognised for his or her achievements
there are a number of Challenges, Awards and Activity Badges
culminating in the Chief Scouts Gold Award. |
| |
| The balanced
programme helps them to find out about the world in which
they live, encourages them to know their own abilities and
the importance of keeping fit and helps develop their creative
talents. It also provides opportunities to explore their own
values and personal attitudes. |

Summer
Camp 2006 |
|
|
| |
| This years Summer Camp was held in Barmouth in Wales. 16 Scouts
attended camping behind the sand dunes about fifty meters from
the beach. During the camp the Scouts took part in activities
including a High Ropes course, Gorge Walking and Raft Building
as well as having to cook their own meals, they also found time
to play on the beach and in the sea. |
